Sending N Stream turbine to Germany does not comply with contract

MOSCOW, Aug 1 (PRIME) -- Sending a Siemens turbine for the Nord Stream gas pipeline from Canada to Germany instead of Russia does not comply with the terms of the contract, Gazprom Deputy CEO Vitaly Markelov said on the air of Rossiya 24 television channel on July 29.

“We are forced to draw attention to the fact that the supply of the gas turbine engine from Canada to Germany does not comply with the terms of the contract,” he said.

Siemens has eliminated no more than a quarter of the detected faults in the turbines, he also said.

“Siemens has eliminated no more than a quarter of the detected faults. For the rest, we still have not received constructive and sufficient proposals to restore safety and reliability,” he said.
